300E Need measurements

I am repairing some front end damge to a 86 300E. I am replacing the upper radiator support, the piece that has the information plate attached. It is welded to the inside of the fender frames. Before I tach weld it in place I need a measurement to ensure the placement of the fenders is correct.
I need the measurement from the inside of the right fender to the inside of the left fender across the middle of the upper radiator support. One of the fenders had minor damage to the front end and I have restored it to original shape. None of the MB manuals has this information, so I am hoping that someone would take the time to make this measurement. Thank You
John

Can you possibly draw a diagram or something to show exactly what you want to be measured, so that I can give you a pecise measurement like you need?
