Any hope for this fuel pump?
1. Got a fuel pump off my 87 190E, it’s drawing about 1.3 Amps and sometimes it needs a slight tap on the side with a wrench to get it going…
2. My questions are: . a. Is there any hope for this baby, can I clean it out by running some kind of solvent through it? . b. What would cause the low amps, is there something going on inside? . c. Does Mercedes rebuild these? I remember when I replaced my starter it was a rebuilt, Mercedes don’t offer new ones. Thai GI sends…

Take the fuel pump and run diesel in the "reverse" mode!
Reversing the polarity should clean all the junk in there. DO NOT try this with gas or any famable liquid. In other words, instead of pushing fluid through, it will suck fluid and spit junk out.
If that does not work, you need a new fuel pump.
