99 c230k click-click on startup
Anyone have a sharp click-click noise (only 2 clicks) immediatly on startup? After the clicks te engine sounds smooth as silk, no probs at all.
Almost sounds like the AC engauging but I don't think that's it. Usually only happens on a cold start, but once in a while on a warm start as well. It's a well maintained and unmodified '99 with 64k on it, I've owned it since new. Thanks, WTS

I've got a girl friend with a 99C230k (65k miles), and it has the same clicks on startup.... I know exactly what you mean... It sounds just like the AC compressor is engaging.
I assume it's totally normal.
