Torque settings for brake caliper bolts. Replacing rotors.

I'm replacing rotors on my '97 E420 and would like to have an idea of what to torque the caliper carrier bolts to. Also, should I use Loctite on them?

Hi tmorales,

My cd, model 124 series, states "Replace self-locking bolt. Tightening torque 35 nm".

Hope this helps, based on my manual, looks to be the bolt going through the carrier.

Thanks,
Joel

If the bolts have 19mm wrench size heads they torque to 80 ft. lbs..I would suggest that you clean the bolts and use medium strength (blue) loctite.

I was concerned I might not have had the correct bolts.

Thanks,
Joel
