Hi!
My front brakes in my 2.0 litre '89 190E is somewhat "not nearly so good as in new cars made today" . What are the work/items involved/cost to replace the solid front discs & calipers to ventilated disc & calipers from a 190 E 2.3 litre(if possible)? /thx |
Don't know what size wheel you have!! But if you are going to change brakes, find an old 300E(junk yard) & swap front brakes from it. The 190E 16V used the same brakes as the 300E so they will bolt on, but you need at least 6.5" wide wheels.

The junk yard seems to be a much more chepier place to look for replacement stuff than my local MB dealer. BTW I had forgotten that the ventilated calipers are bigger and therefor my wheel maybe would not fit( I will have to check that before I do any swap).
What about the main brakecylinder & vacuum clock, do I need to change them aswell? Has someone done this swap? Thanks! |
