CIS on 380SL
 

When starting cold, the engine runs lean and is undriveable until it has reached operating temperature. System fuel pressure and control pressure are both within limits as listed in the MB shop manual. I am using the gray cover, paper manual for the 380 engine.

Idle controller is functional and operating correctly.

What do I check next? And how?

So, what is your control pressure? MB revised their spec due to hesitation when cold problems.

Be sure your timing is right.

Control pressure cold (50 degrees) is 18-20 psi. At operating temperature it is 42 psi. System pressure is 76 psi.
