Hi,
I just wanted to know what's the best oil for my EURO W126 86' 560SEC with 24.000km? My mechanics puts synthetic oil but I don't think it's good for the engine as after 10min the oil pressure goes down to 1.9 when car stopped. Thanks in advance ------------------ ------------------------------------- WEB Site : http://www.adamou.dpn.ch A.S.C. 1999 ------------------------------------- |

No problem with oil pressure at 1.9 bar, M.B. says oil press lower than 0.6 is where you should start to worry!

The oil pressure you have is more than adequate at idle. One thing to remember about synthetic oils, is the oil pressure will be lower than a regular oil but the synthetic will maintain the pressure without wild flucuations. Remember to use the correct grade which is 10w-40 or 15w-40
