Since this car has hydraulic lifters, valve adjustment isn't required!
The lifters do have a base setting that require special tools & a bit of time. Are you having some noise problem?? |

I have a very slight tick comming from the top right side of the engin. It sounds like a valve that's out of adjustment.
If its not the valve, then, what should I be looking for? Or is this normal? |

Hate to suggest it, but when my engine started ticking in that area, It was the start of losing the cam lobe. Look for unusual wear on the lobe and especially the arm associated with it. You can use a long screwdriver to pinpoint the noise until you pull the cover. Might be nothing, hopefully. The Engine is known for cam wear. Usually a blockage in the oil tube hole in the associated area. Lost one side first, replaced cam, and cleaned tubes on both sides. Replaced other side 3 months later. Traded car to Used dealer right after that. ------------------ |
