What motor is located on the right of the glovebox

When I turn on the ignition I can hear something working under dash on the right side of the glovebox. It also get noisy sometimes.
At hi speeds above 100 km/h I can hear noise coming like the one that comes from the open windows from around right side of the glovebox area. Can this be a loose windshield problem.
What is my car's problem. Help please.

My car is 1989 230E W124.

Sounds like the aspirator motor for the heating system. It draws air over the inside temp sensor which is by the inside rear view mirror. It is connected by a hose that runs up the windshield pillar.

What might happen if the motor stops working? Is the noise at hi speeds connected to this problem?

At speeds over 100KMH the aspirator motor is really tough to hear. Its a small fan (like on a computer CPU. The "something working" and the wind noise hints at a recirculating flap problem or actuator for same.
