Is there any advantage installing a set of
Bosch super4 platinum over the standard plugs

There have been several discussions regarding the use of platinum plugs in MB's.
Click on "search" in the upper right hand corner of this page and search for "platinum". You may find what you want to know.

I'll save you the searching... Actually most MB engines don't like platinum plugs that well. Just get some Bosch copper's, they are about the best you can get.

The reason for the non plats is because Mercedes does not need a resistor plug. It uses the non resistor type.
