need guidance for installing W201 euros

I have no clue where to start. I went to this place: http://64.4.22.250/cgi-bin/linkrd?_lang=EN&lah=3f093c77359552871285b99e3e59a247&lat=1030854967&hm___action=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2embca%2eorg%2fw124%2ehtm

but I'm still somewhat lost. The installing instruction is for the W124. Somehow I thought I wouldn't need extra wires for the installing. From looking at the site, do I really need all these wires and things for the installation? Can someone give me the basic steps I need to do for W201 euro installation? I know I will need bulbs (how many? I'm confused by the H3/H4/H5) and pin connectors (what are these as my euros did not come with them?). The euros I have are DEPO W201 euros. Thanks!

Haven't done this before, mine is a euro, but it gets discussed a lot, you might feel like doing a search. You should definitely find info about the different connectors and what to do about them, I don't think its too hard.

Its quite easy...I believe you'll need 9004 bulbs and the correct plastic connectors which you can get from either Bekkers or PUMA...no cutting or splicing needed ...just re-install the colored wires according to their diagram and plug in....took me like an hour from start to finish on my old 2.6 190E.

Never heard of DEPO Euros...are they knockoffs? PUMA will sell you real Hella Euros at a super cheap price with bulbs and connectors and instructions that a child can read...f- that other junk.

I posted this response to you awhile back. Replacement is NOT hard, just take it one step at a time. . .

Good choice on going with Euro headlights. They'll really change the look of your front end (did you also get the clear corners?). Not sure what is meant by "caps". The bulbs you'll need are H3's for the fog/driving light section (stocks are 55W; I installed 100W), and H4's for the main high/low beams (stocks are 60/55W; I installed 100/80W). Installation is a fairly "simple" task, tho' I think 10-minutes is a bit understated (I spent that much time just opening the boxes and admiring the lights ) . I would plan a couple hours -- if you're like me, I like to tinker and check/clean/"contemplate" things as I go (it's part of the fun/education). Make sure you were furnished with the connector adapters -- I believe US (4-contact) to Euro (6-contact). The other thing I suggest is getting a "headlight mounting kit" (x2), which consists of top and bottom fasteners. The bottom fastener is a long screw fastening into a square plastic "wedge nut" (a tapered receptacle which fits into a square cutout; when the screw is engaged it spreads/wedges the receptacle tight). As you can imagine, the originals can get brittle and break -- mine did and the install had to wait a couple days 'til I got the parts. Existing top fasteners should be fine, but they come as part of the kit. Anyways, www.************************ has the kits (P/N 82-139 @ $4.73 per kit).

Good Luck!
