Quick 190E shock question

I have an opportunity to buy 190E 16v shocks for the front of our '87 190E 2.3 Will they bolt right up? I can also get the original springs.

Will these easily replace the existing shock/ strut?

i think it should fit just fine but to be absolutely sure you should post your question on the http://azure.bbboy.net/190revolution board. it's completely dedicated to the 190 so i'm sure someone there will know the answer.

different part #

1. I think they will fit but it won’t be the right height.

2. The part for the 16v version is 201 320 44 30, but the regular 2.3 like yours takes a 201 320 41 30. These are superseded number the old number also do not cross either.

3. To do the work, you will also need hex key and a special socket to toque them properly see this pages:

wrong size for the tool

1. Hey, sorry I got the wrong size for the tool it’s a 22mm not 19mm, look at this page:
http://www.hazet.de/eng/katalog/suche_3.asp?F=2593%2D22&H=100&U=230

2. Can’t really tell hua, just that the part numbers are different.

That is a nice tool, though I suspect most folks get by without it.
