Wood Steering wheel?
I recently drove a '96 Jaguar XJ6 3.2... an interesting comparison to a Mercedes. Not the same quality, but still drives nicely, not remotely sportily though.
It does have a nice feeling wood steering wheel (more precisely wood on the top third and also I think bottom third), and I have noticed these on some of the newer Mercedes too. Could I get one for my 190E? I'd prefer the same or a similarly large wheel, and prefer original MB too. later! |
Hi-Power ordered steering wheels from this company in Germany for his '86 and '95 W124's.
I notice that they also sell them for W201's. These are usually sold for twice this amount from other companies (like www.************************) and the dealer. http://www.eris-car.com/ |
Paul:
Thanks for the post. I looked at the website and became pretty intrigued by some of the steering wheel options. Not like I need to spend anything else on stuff for my cars, but what the heck.... |
Yeah, no kidding.
The wood / leather steering wheel is my next purchase for my car. There is also a guy with a 500E on the Hot Rod forum who bought a ton of stuff from that company in Germany - well over $1,000. |
That wood steering wheel and chrome door sills are really nice. I think I might get them for my W123 Coupe... even the chrome/wood gearshift is nice! (something different from the usual all wood shifter)
