W210 "Hard" Idle

Recently my car has started to develop a condition that can best be described as "hard" idle. This is not a situation of rough or missing idle, but one where the car actually vibrates much more than it used to. The RPMs seem slightly lower than regular when at hard idle.

This condition is most pronounced during warm-up situations, but can also happen when fully warm. The condtion is intermitent, but has been occuring with greater regularity.

It almost seems like the motor mounts or a driveline component is worn.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks in advance.

I have a '98 E320 wagon with 60k miles.

The motor mounts are a "common" failure at that mileage.
