190E stock struts
 

I have been reading alot about lowering....I wonder if by reducing one coil from the stock springs would damage the stock bilstein struts? I am ready to purchase lowering springs but only want a 1 inch drop max in the front only. The rear looks fine. I have 17 amg monoblocks II with 205/45/17.

I am not looking for shortcuts but would rather spend the extra money on other mods.
