On my Euro spec. W124 I have heated seats, or rather I did. All the wiring is still there, but the seats were replaced with Recaros. Is it possible to replace the heating elements by putting them into the Recaros? What does the US spec heating element plug look like? The wiring that comes from my switches is a female 4 plug in a square configuration.
Thanks, Erik :~) |

Unfortunately you're probably going to have to replace the seats if you want heated seats. I don't think the heating element can be modified to fit the Recaros.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Recaro's (and other aftermarket seats) are available with heating as a option off the shelf. Your money and time are probably better spent just buying some new seats with heating already installed. That way you know it will work, wont be any kind of fire hazard, etc.
Hope this helps...Lee |

Thanks for the replys!
I was hoping the heating element was a self contained unit that could be fitted into the Recaros upholstry. Don't have to worry about a cold buns now, but later... well too bad. Thanks, Erik :~ |
