Recurring keyless entry problem
 

About once a week or so, my car (a 1995 S320) and the infra-red remote keyless entry get out of sync and need to be re-synced. Probelm occurs with either of the 2 keys I have, both have new batteries.

This is getting a bit annoying.

Anybody have any thoughts what might be causing this?

I had the same issue with one of the fobs for my C230 (kept replacing the battery and synchronizing). It turned out that the issue was one of the battery contacts inside the fob was not making consistent contact with the battery. I pulled up the contact with needle nose pliers and it's back to normal. I think what caused it to not be making contact was the fob itself is starting to wear and come loose. Hope this helps, best of luck...

I'll give it a try though one of the FOBs that this happens with is brand new.
