rear drive problem on 140
 

I put aftermarket wheels on my S 320 and the factory lugs must have been too long because now there is a noise in the rear on both sides when I move the car. I put shorter lugs in the wheels but the noise is still there. I must have damaged something behind the rotor. Does anybody know whats behind there to get demaged?

Did the noise come from both sides? Otherwise maybe all you hit was the emergency brake. It happened to me too but I noticed it right after the wheels were installed and it was fixed without a problem with shorter lugs.

Yes it is coming from both sides, It sounds like something is either rubbing or rolling around in there. I alredy installed the shorter lugs but it is still making the noise. i think that you may be right I lifted the car up and tried to spin the wheel and it is really hard to turn, maybee the brake is hung up from not getting used? What do you think?

sounds like you've torn out the parking brake shoe
hold down springs. a least you didn't wast your hubs
when ou removed the too long lug bolts.
