Replaced AC Compressor, Clutch sounds like Wind Up Toy

I can hear the whirring and grinding of the AC Clutch as the engine accelererates and deaccelerates. Its so loud I could hear it on Brooklyn-Queens expressway above the clatter of my Diesel and highway traffic. It sounds like a wind-up toy motor as the clutch whines away.
Does this mean it will fail? I replaced the compressor with a rebuilt one and noticed the sound immediately.
What should I do? Leave it or Fix it?mywebpages.comcast.net/rtc9/BENZ.html

It sounds like it will fail soon. This is the sound we get when I see them low on oil.

the air gap on clutch plate is too tight.to fix the clutch plate must be pulled off the shaft and shimed.to do the job a small removal tool sold by Everco must be used
