1986 300E Motor Mount Bushings

I believe some Liquid(Oil) leaked out of one of my motor mounts and is causing a vibration in the car when idling. I think this means that the motor mounts should be changed. I know that there are two motor mounts and one transmission mount. Are they relatively easy to replace with a floor jack and wrenches? Will the nuts come off without an impact wrench? What are the procedures if this can be done as stated above?

Any responses will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dean

Definitely a DIY job.

However, the drivers' side is the one that everybody has a problem with, due to accessibility to release the bolt/nut.
You do not need an impact wrench.
Loosen the fan cowl and support the engine with a jack a piece of wood across the oil pan BECAREFUL! Remove/install the old/new mounts. That is the way I did mine. No problems!
The transmission mount is easy too. Just support the transmission with a jack while you are doing it.
DO a search, it has been discussed before.
Good luck!
