M119 timing chain and oil change?

The car gets its first timing chain replacement in a few weeks...my question is will the tech have to drain the oil in order to roll a new one in?...I'm also having the oil pressure relief valve switched out of the oil filter housing...is the oil also drained enough out of there when the car is off for him to do that lil' bugger? I'm at the point where I change oil but will wait if he has to drop it all out to do the work. Thanx guys.:)

No need to drain the oil to roll in a chain, but there should be an oil change after the new chain is in, to remove any particles that may have fallen in while cutting the old chain.

Don't know about the relief valve, but suspect the oil level would be low enough below the valve point that it wouldn't matter.

Thanx much Mike...I'll do the oil change right after the new chain gets rolled in. Makes sense now.:)
