drove the 300SD yesterday no problems--- put it in garage overnight--Went to start it this morning --- Glow plug light on dash did not light---cranked engine ---cranks good---but does not fire ---any ideas would be welcome --thanks --syd

There is a 80A fuse in the preglow relay, its a strip fuse w/2 phillips screws. If its blown possibly one or more of the glow plugs are bad.

sounds good ---QUESTION where would this preglow relay and strip fuse be located---QUESTION What is the best way to check the glow plugs--

The glow relay is located on the fender under the hood and it looks like a black box with a cover over the top. The fuse is inside of the box. The glow plugs should be checked dynamicaly with an amperage reading.

CHECKED ALL GLOW PLUGS AND WIRING FROM GLOW PLUG RELAY BOX--ALL APPEARS FINE ---BOUGHT TWO NEW FUSES --POPPED ONE IN ---STARTED STRAIGHT UP --FUSE WAS PROBABLY 18 YEARS OLD AND MAYBE HAD BEEN WEAKEND IN THE PAST---WILL CARRY SPARE AND SEE HOW IT GOES---once again perfect info --thanks--syd
