190E stalling

My 1991 190E has the intermittent stalling problem that seems to be common with these vehicles. I have had this car 4 years and spent a lot of time and money trying to rectify the problem before giving up, so my memory of the exact repairs done are a little dim. But now that I've found this forum I am hopeful that I may find a solution. First the symptoms. The car stalls very occasionally at slow speeds and at stop, it definitely stalls more often in very hot weather. The replaced parts that I remember are the OVP, holifax(sic) sensor, a very expensive computer CPU device that I forgot the name of that goes behind the firewall on the passenger side(sorry for the vagueness I'll look through the maintenance record when I get home) I'm pretty sure they replaced the fuel relay and we've dumped tons of injector cleaner in her. I would LOVE to fix this problem any input would be greatly appreciated or even a good mechanic in the L.A. area.

I'd be interested in what the final solution is. Please post when you figure it out. I have acquired a '90 190E 2.6 and probably need to replace the cold start valve, as it stumbles when (cold) started. No problem like yours, though. BTW, the *holifax* sensor is probably the Hall-effect sensor.
