Is changing the power steering fluid simply a matter of removing the wingnut on the cover and removing the cover, pulling out the old filter + gasket, and then possibly using my topsider to suck out the old fluid? Then just pour in new fluid and that's it? Seems too easy...

Can anyone speak from experience on doing this job?

Thanks in advance-

Terry

You can do the job this way, but most have a drain/center pin hole on the bottom of the P/S sector that will drain 90% of the fluid out. The bolt is 12mm and you will need to turn the steering wheel to a full lock postion at one side or the other.

Could you please explain the P/S "sector" you refer to in your reply? Like where this is on the car-

Thanks-

Terry
