New Bentley w124 Manual?
Has anyone actually seen this book yet?
Is it as good as it sounds? Mercedes-Benz E-Class Owner's Bible: 1986-1995 Bentley Publishers; ISBN: 0837602300; (September 2002) Author: Stu Ritter http://images.amazon.com/images/P/08...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg |
Haven't seen it. Isn't Stu Ritter the guy that does the Haynes Manuals?
|
Cap'n - nope Stu doesn't do the Haynes manauls.
After 'retiring' from working his MB shop in Colorado, he began work (and is still working, last I heard), on a Bentley/Factory-quality manual for MB's - I remember him mentioning several chassis's which there would be separate volumes for. Sounded like the premise was that they would near the factory manuals in detail and accuracy, but more instructive as the Haynes manuals are. I can't wait for these to be finished! Although the Bentley manual certainly looks interesting... Regards, - Ryan |
I'm assuming this book is due to be published this September? If anyone gets word of it, I'd love to buy a copy. All I have now is the terrible Chilton's manual for my '89 300E.

I pre-ordered the manual on Amazon: 30% off list, free shipping. Bentley sought out Stu Ritter to author this book. Stu is something like chief technical editor for the Star magazine. He has the title because in addition to his wealth of experience, he writes well.

I am envious!
I wish we could get this for the W126 sedans. {whimper whimper} |
Just did the same thing David! :D
I was thinking would take a bit longer to come out, but it's been well over a year since I last heard Stu working on this. If memory serves me, there a other issues for different chassis' on their way (W123's at least and maybe the W126's too?). Regards, - Ryan |
