OVP right?

i've been fighting some ABS and bad idle problems lately to no avail. today my ANTILOCK light would flicker and go on and off when drove over large jarring bumps. as the light would flicker, the engine would hesitate a little if i was accelerating and the voltage meter would spike and drop wildly. this sounds to me like the OVP. is there any chance that a bad wheel speed sensor (possibly a short in a wire or harness) could cause the OVP to kick on and off?

thanks

It may not be that the OVP itself is bad. heck and see if the fuse on top is loose. You might have to press the little "forks" together that the fuse blades make contact with. It worked for me!

Also check to be sure that the wiring harness from the alternator to the connection block is secure. When I replaced my alternator I didn't get the wires tight to the connection block and had similar symptoms.

Good Luck!
