Should I just try to yank out the yellow line from the fuel tank locking mechanism, and use finger to plug it up when trying to unlock again. I just don't want to damage anything and make things worse.
Thanks. Luis.

Yep, that's the idea. It shouldn't be hard to remove it and by unplugging it you cannot ruin anything. Try to lock it to see if it works ok then...

Bingo! I unplugged the yellow hose to the gas tank actuator, and everything becamse normal again. I guess I can live without the locking of the gas tank access lid, unless the repair of the actuator is not astronomical. Any idea of how much this could be?

And, thanks much for your help.

I have no idea what a fuel lid vacum thingie will cost you. Just wait for some other member to drop a price on it or just call your dealer. Why not order from fastlane?

Nice thing that you found the leak/broken membran. Enjoy your car...
