fuel injectors

With all injectors removed,what should i use to clean them? 1989 420sel.

The best cleaner is toluene (if you can find some)
Do not use any abrasive material

If you have already taken the time to remove them, why not replace them. Your own labor is the most expensive portion of this job. Then you know you are good for another 12+ years!!

If you search the internet, there are places where you can mail the injectors where they'll ultrasonically clean them in the proper solution, backflush, flowtest and balance them for about $25 per injector.

I've heard of people spraying carb cleaner into the air intake to clean the injectors. Any problems with this?
