URGENT: Need repair shop in Yorktown, Virginia!!!!
Hi guys!! (including Steve and Donnie)
I have to travel tomorrow from Florida to Yorktown Virginia. to pick up a 300D that I purchased there. I want to drive it back to Florida, but it needs to be checked-out first. On short notice, can someone asap advise me of a reputable shop in either Yorktown or Newport News (i.e., close by), so that if the car needs to be towed there, it's not so long a tow. Can you provide a phone number, name/contact/referral source, so I can contact them this afternoon? Thanks so much in advance!! |

Tysinger has a great parts department but I've never had my car serviced there. If you can have it towed to Virginia Beach, you would have alot more choices; MBH, Larry's Imports, European Imports...
Regards, Don

Don:
thanks!! I don't want to take it to Va Beach-too far I think for towing. Is Tysinger's an MB dealer? Where is it? Thanks for your reply in advance.!!!!! Bob |

The Williamsburg alternative
Tysinger's is an authorized dealer and has a pretty honest reputation, but you might also consider Colonial Foreign Car Service in Williamsburg, which is just as easy a tow from Yorktown as Tysinger's. Karl Hanselmann, the boss at Colonial, is a German-trained technician with excellent skills, but not necessarily a lot cheaper than the dealers -- it depends on the problem.
The phone number for CFCS is (757) 565-2007. There is a place called "Auto Haus" very near Yorktown which claims to be a Mercedes specialist ((757) 898-7121), but I don't have any dependable feedback from any customers of theirs to offer to you. Last edited by Fimum Fit; 10-07-2002 at 03:12 PM. |
