Question Air conditioner relay

What is the correct way to remove the cover on the
KLIMA A/C relay so I can service it? I have an '86
190e-16V.

If it's like the one on my 88 300SE, turn the relay upside down so the rods are facing up. Then, take a THIN regular screwdriver and insert it very gently in the middle of one of the 2 long sides of the rectangle you are looking at. On mine, the part with the rods inserts into the housing which you are now facing down. Just gently pry that housing and the part with the rods and the circuit board should slide out easily.

Smile Air conditioner relay

Thanks Ron for your comments. I'll take a look at my relay and hope it's like the one in your car.

If you want to clean it after you get it opened, go to Radio Shack and tell them you want circuit board cleaner. It spays out under fairly high pressure and dries in seconds. About $10 for a can.
