is sunroof teleflex cable easy to replace?
I have read several posts and it seems like this is an easy replacement. Pull the old one out and push the new one in, with some amount of force.
I took the liner off the sunroof in my 87 SDL to attempt to fix a sticking of the sunroof during closure (lubing didn't help). I noticed that the bracket with two bolts that mounts the teleflex cable to the cross piece was asymmetrically bent, and the teleflex cable itself had several deformed/missing annular nylon rings. The cable was also deformed/bent where it attached to the bracket. Anyone have insights to this. thanks

With the bracket un-bolted from the transport bridge just operate the s/roof switch to the pop-up position & the cable will come right out. AFTER installing a new cable you will have to re-syncro the motor to the sunroof position.
Very common failure!

resynchronize ?
A lot of the other posts refer to that resynchonization process, but I didn't notice a proceedure in the 126 CD.
It doesn't even seem like they have a section in the manual for it. (most of the posts talk about the motor being in the trunk... I wonder where in the trunk) Did I miss something or are you guys looking at some other source of information besides the CD? alec
