Hello there,
My '86 16V blows out warm air. I bought it to the shop to add freon, but the dealer stated that some of the wires are cut?? I do not know what that has to do with the warm air. I asked that the car be recharged, and he said that the a/c was not up to MB specs and therefore wouldnt charge it.

Can someone help. Its dam hot in NY the last few days, and I'm melting. Is it expensive to change over to r134?? Can I do it myself?? Will recharging fix the problem?? Does the wiring cause the warm air to blow out. The mechanism is actually working.

Please help before I melt. Thanks for the help in advance.

Go to an independent repair facility. They are usually more willing to help because they need customers.
