How to replace lock mechanism in door?
I have to replace the lock mechanism on the driver door of my M-class. How do they get that thing out of there? I've loosened it, but it won't unattach itself from the door handle. It looks like I may have to take the handle off, but I can't see how that is done either. It also does not look like there is enough room to pull the unit out of the panel either,
Help!

Anybody?
I have to open the driver door from the inside until I get the latch replaced. I have a replacement, but can't figure out how to get the old one out.

Not sure if this will help or not:
The 126 has a plug on the door jamb, remove it and pull a single phillips head screw. Then slide the handle assembly forward to disengage the mechanism and lift out. Take a look on the "M" and see if there is a plastic plug in line with the handle, then take a looksee under the plug.
