Hi, I am curious to know who long it should take an experienced certified MB technician to install a new valve spring on an 88 300E ?
Appreciate your insight

It depends on whether or not the valve came in contact with the piston and caused damage. If this happened, it could take 10 to 15 hours of labor or more. If not, usually about 3 hours.

In the M103 engine shop manual they reccomend replacing all valve springs on cars built before 1991! While you are there have the valve guide seals replaced!
