OVP ABS ASR still screwed up
Hi all,
As you may or may not remember I jumped my car with the jumper cables crossed. I blew one of the two 10 amp fuses on the OVP. I replaced the blown fuse. Now when I accelerate on loose footing and the traction control kicks in not only does the traction control light in the center of my dash light up but the ABS and ASR lights light up and the car, while still under hard acceleration, stuters. My battery is very tired and I must jump my car to start (been on blocks for a while as I rebuilt some front end components. This problem did not exist prior to crossed cable jump start. Is it possible I ruinned the OVP or worse, the computer?? Please help I am very frustrated with myself. Thanks, Joel |
You have to have a fully charged battery before anything.
The old ' jump the bat , run on the alt " trick no longer works Fully deep charge [ over-night ] the battery before you go anywhere with diagnosis...other -wise , you will have glitches all over the place. |
Thanks
Thanks Arthur,
My battery is extreemly dead, I'll get a new one and see what happens. Thanks for taking the time on a Sunday to post a reply. I am still really unhappy with myself for reverse jump. Have a good day Arthur, Joel |
