Subframe mounts - which is left side?
 

Hi,

I am installing new subframe mounts in my '87 300D. I have received the new front kit and removed one old mount (doing one side at a time). PROBLEM. The parts are a bit different with different part numbers:

Mounts in car,
201 351 27 42

New kit P/n 124 350 04 41
contains mounts 124 351 19 42 & 129 351 15 42

Which is the left hand/driver side bushing? The 124 or 129 part?

The difference is the "tabs" - 124 short tabs, 129 long tabs.

I checked my with my mechanic today, he has a few 300E's on the lift, and the newer ones appeared to have same left/right mounts - with higher tabs.

Could it be that MB put the wrong part in the box???

Turns out the dealer sent me the wrong part!

It should be 124 350 03 41...

There is no left or right side for my car, both are the same.
