Can the lower plastic body cadding of the 1987+ 190e’s be retrofitted to earlier 190? I’ve got a 1985 190e and I’d like to make this change. I know I’d need front and rear bumpers as well as all of the side plastic. How available is this stuff? Any ideas on costs?

Several panels on my car (190e) were missing when I purchased it. I checked at a local junkyard for pieces and found them (on three different wrecks) fairly cheap ($45). I had them professinally painted ($70) and they "popped" onto plastics snaps screwed into the panels.
If you can fit the euro-panels, check some junkyards first for pieces before you hit the dealer or aftermarketers. |

Brad, what year is your 190e? Mine is a '85 that was made before MB used plastic all around. Did you drill the holes? Has anyone updated the look of an older (like mine) 190e?

I didn't have to drill at all. And my car is an 89.
