Windshield Washer
 

OK, this is probably a really stupid question. But my windshield washer was clogged up so i took it out to clean it and get it unclogged. When i went to take it out there were 2 wires attached to it. What the heck are those wires for? When i got the jets unclogged I put the water hose on it and left the wires off and it still seemed to work o.k. I could not figure out what the wires are for. I did put everything back inplace when i put the washer jets back on the hood. I just wanted to know why you would need those wires on the washer jets.

The wires are to power the heating element for the jets...so you can use it in freezing weather.
