1 answer simple 300E OVP question
Hi,
My 86' 300E has a single fuse OVP (part# 201 540 08 45). When looking on FastLane for the replacement I noticed that it shows a picture of a single fuse unit. I was under the impression that the single fuse OVP had been updated with a dual fuse model. Does this only apply to later years or what??? Thanks! Jerry |
Is there anyone who knows the answer to this question or what?
I replaced the OVP yesterday with the aftermarket KAE replacement (one fuse on top, # 201 540 08 45). Did I get the right one??? Same old problems... back under the hood, Jerry |
Jerry:
Maybe this will help. This single fuse/dual fuse OVP issue can get a guy dizzy. I have a '91 126 car with a 103 motor that came with the single fuse OVP. It's still in the car and still purring. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/37410-ovp-question.html?highlight=single+fuse http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/20554-3-different-ovps.html?highlight=single+fuse Consider what Steve Brotherton had to say in these threads. |
