OBD I error scanning
Hello forum,
My car is 1989 230 E. It doesn't seem to have a check engine light. I read about how to read the OBDI codes using a led light. Is my car an OBD I equipped or does is not have it? If yes where is the scanner connector located in my car. If no what does the round 9 pin diagnostic socket's pins are used for and how do I extract any data out of the car's computer. This socket is located on the right side of the ABS pump. Thanks.

AS far as I know ONLY US version cars that were designed for California had built-in code scan capabilitiy.
