Word of warning about procarparts clear corners...
They are really not OEM quality. I put mine in, and they required some extra force to fit into place and to get the clicking noise that indicates they have locked. They look just fine, and seemed like a good deal. After about a month (today), my driver side clear corner just fell off. I stepped out of my car to notice the light bulb was just hanging out, and the clear corner was no where to be seen! Now, these were definetaly locked into place using the corner locking mechanism, but I guess the procarparts unit just wasn't made correctly. If you buy them, remember to take some extra steps to secure them...

I wouldn't necessarily blame procarparts. I've had the exact same problem with 2 sets of absolutely OE side lights. Took me a while to get the knack of getting them to seat right and latch in place. At highway speeds these lights seem to get sucked out of their place if not very securely latched in place.

ive put the lights in and taken them out many times, and never had problems with my OEs. The procarparts ones didn't latch into place like the OEs, I really had to put my weight behind the light in order to force it into the socket. I assumed it was in tight, but apparently I was wrong.

I had the same experience with my In.Pro smoke silvers.
One flew out in strong wind, and neither fully locked into place with a "click" like the original equipment does. Also, in all honesty, they are not as well put together as I expected, but they still look good. |
If you plan on using these aftermarket units a good tip would be to do this job before you and the car retire for the night. Your thinking whats that got to do with anything? Well before you snap them into place, place a very small thin amount of Dow Silicone caulking on the inside lip. Carefull you dont need alot. Just the corners where they snap. Twenty four hours would be better but you should be able to drive without fear or worry about them letting loose, after 12 or so hours. You will never see or notice this and they should stay put.

Of course clear caulking is what I was refering to.
