Sunroof - Fix it or leave it?
 

Hi,

I have a 1983 300CD that is in good condition and everything else but the sunroof and left rear window, is working!

The sunroof cable end in the trunk is damaged (the gears are frayed)

But the worst part of it is that there is no motor, gearbox, mounting, etc. in the trunk Just the cable dangling there....
I found a motor for free and is in good condition but I will have to buy the sunroof bracket or whatever is supposed to be there holding the sunroof motor.

The electricals are fine (checked)...

Does anybody have an idea if this is gonna cost me too much or if it's worth doing?

I tried looking for the bracket but apparently the coupe uses a different bracket or something... :(
