Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head..

I have sealed the sunroof carefully with clear silicon sealant while I await a needed seal . I thought sealing the sunrrof would fix this but still the heavy leak remains... plz help! After letting the car sit in the rain when I get in and go and am goingdownhill all this water runs out and onto my left leg from above in the roof, right through the roof liner at the side of the sunshade... I am thinking drain tubes but have no manual. It is a 300TD - can someone tell me where I can locate the drain tubes and if this may be the culprit ??? TIA...

If you open the roof you should be able to see the holes in the sunroof frame that are the drain tubes.

You need a LONG flexible, but firm, length of wire.

An old accellerator cable inner would be perfect.

Do it gently.

One problem, I had it on my 190e, is that the tubes corrode with age. So when cleaning them do not use excessive force.

Regards

Mike

I question using silicone. I used it once and had the sun and weather degrade it.

Do you guys know how many drains there are on a 1998 E320 sedan? I need to clean them because I see some leaks on each corner of the headliner when it rains hard. I have a strong feeling the drains are just clogged up. Also, any idea on how to access these drains?
