OVP relay location 1992 W124 400E

All of the post that I have searched tell me that the OVP relay is located "behind the battery". I can't seem to find it, can anyone provide some guidance on where it is located.

I have the classic OVP symptoms, the ABS light came on after jumpstarting and then changing the battery, I hope that it is just the OVP fuse.

Have you got a plastic panel behind your battery. If so, remove it. It shouldn't be difficult to get it out because it's quite soft.

Voila...there it is.

No plastic panel

The only plastic panel that I can see is the vent grid for the battery. Does the 1992 400E have an OVP relay, or does it have the fused base module.

Whichever it has I sure would like to know where the fuse is.

OVP is under the Hood

Its right over near all the other fuses just ahead of the main fuse box. There are another couple of 1" square relays near it.But it not like the other fuses/relays. Its a GM type 20-30amp plug in fuse. It has a little black or clear cover over it so prevent the fuse from accidently being knocked out(which I did on my 500E)

Thank you all!

The problem was in the base module (silver box with black top held on by 4 allen head screws to the left of the engine) one of the three 10A fuses (one closest to the front of the vehicle) was blown. Replaced the fuse, and no more ABS light.

If you have the late type distributor-LESS engine management systems (HFM-SFI systems) found on 92 and newer MB cars and still have the old OVP relay #000 540 5245, which can cause problem, you should replace it with new improved relay #000 540 6745. They cost 65-75 USD.
