Intrument Panel Lights wont turn off

I have an odd problem, when the key is removed from my 87 300SDL turbo the dummy lights (brake, oil, water, etc etc) in the instrument panel simply remain on and stay on until the battery is dead. Can anybody tell me what I can do to solve this problem. Thank you in advance.

Sounds very much like an alternator issue.

Do a search, you'll find many similar problems.

Probably only the voltage regulator, which is available as a separate item.
