300E CD changer

I just bought my first Mercedes, a low mileage 1993 300E, and love it. When I got it it had the previous owner had run the wiring for the stock 6 disc CD changer, but hadn't finished the installation. The stock unit itself, a cable with a male and female ends and another small black box were sitting in the trunk. It looks like everything should just plug together, but in what combination

do a search in the car audio forum. i seem to recall there was a post where scott from la jolla audio posted a picture diagram explaining all the connections...
