i honestly dont know the answer to that. Maybe someone at the roadfly forums would be able to answer that particular question. Before you buy the E320, do yourself a favor and at least test drive a 528i, and a 540i. I think you'll be very pleasently suprised. Granted, i've never driven an E320, but that 528i drives sooooooo nice

Oh yea, i should add that our 97 528i has 97k on it now. All that's ever gone wrong has been the water pump, and a/c compressor(covered under warranty even though it was at 52k miles, 2k over warranty). You will run into the exact same dealer problems that you will get with benzes though, it's hard to find a good one......

Just for the record, I don't think the recirculating ball system is either inferior or superior to rack and pinion. They're just different.
