timing chain renewal

i own a 190e-1.8 litre, u.k. spec car,year of manufacture- 1993

it has been regularly serviced and has covered 111,000 miles(178,000 km).

how often does one change the timing chain?-i know it has a double row(dual ) type timing chain.

there are no unusual engine noises apart from a slight noises on cold start ups for 1 or 2 seconds while the engine oil is circulating to all parts of the engine.

100,000 miles is usual and it may improve the performance if it was stretched.
