w124 auxiliary fan always on

Took my '87 300E to a body shop for some body work and paint. Got it back and the electric auxiliary fan in front of the radiator is always on, even when cold. Body shop denies fiddling with wiring.

Can anyone help me with a wiring schematic of this fan or tell me how to get it working properly?

Much appreciated.

I replaced the 105/128 C temp sensor in the head of my '87 300D to fix this.

if the connector to the thermosensor is disconnected the fan will be on all the time (sensor painted blue near thermostat).
