Sorry for the move away from Mercedes on the topic. Does anyone know of an independent honest shop in N. Virginia for a 1998 Audi A6 with problems ? Dealer is quoting over 4k. Does Don Pool work on Audi's ?? I only know of Auto Centro in Rockville for Audi's. Any ideas appreciated.

I drive by Don Pool almost daily, and cannot recall an Audi in the lot. Sorry can't help with a positive recommendation. Would not take it to HBL based on my Mercedes and Porsche experiences.

Actually, Foreign Service works on Audi's. They are in Tysons - good folks. They have been very reasonable in their prices on my assorted MB's and no problems with their work. Service advisor is Mike. 703.448.4800

There is a car club for Audis and are very big in N. Virginia and DC area. Try going to : www.quarttroclubusa.org and if no help I've got some names up in the area as they put on driver ed events down here at VIR. I know of one big shop there that does many Audis. Send me an email directly and I can get you the info.
